Everything here arrived on a horse
The Matheran have no motor vehicle rule that why every crate of vegetables, every gas cylinder and every kilo of rice comes to the hotel kitchen by horse, handcart, or somebody's back from Dasturi Naka.
This is the reason we ask you for Jain food, a child's diet or an allergy when you book rather than when you sit down. If the hotel knows what you need, the hotel can prepare for that.

About dining and the spa
Yes. Some Matheran properties are vegetarian only, so it’s worth checking before you book. At Westend, we serve both vegetarian and non-vegetarian food, including Indian, Chinese and Maharashtrian dishes. You can also check our Westend Hotel Matheran Photos before booking.
Yes, and it is our most requested arrangement. A table is set separately beside the pool, away from the main seating. Tell us at least a day in advance — it is set up by hand and everything it needs is carried up the hill.
