Matheran room rates move a lot — a quiet Tuesday in July and a Saturday before Christmas are two different prices for the same room. Rather than publish a number that will be wrong for most people, we give you the exact rate for your dates.
Send your dates on WhatsApp and you will usually have the figure within a few minutes, including what is included and any extra bed charge.

Meal plans, decoded
Matheran hotels rates list depends on the meal plan you choose. When you come on the hill there are not many restaurants or food options available. It is better to pay for a hotel package that includes meals (breakfast/lunch/dinner) which can actually be better value for money than booking a cheaper room without meals.

Peak
October – February
The pleasant months, and the most expensive . Clear views, cool mornings, and during long weekends hotels often become fully booked. Diwali, Christmas and New Year are the times when rooms are at their highest rates of the year. Book weeks ahead, not days.
Summer
March – May
The afternoons are warm but still far cooler than Mumbai, which is exactly why people come up. Rates are down and the pool earns its keep. School holidays push weekends up.
Monsoon
June – September
The most beautiful, if you do not mind being wet and matheran hotels at low price. This is the time when Matheran turns completely green and the waterfalls run. Views disappear into clouds on bad days and outdoor arrangements change. Best value of the year.
Weekday vs weekend
Matheran has a rush on Mumbai and Pune weekends. Matheran Hotel room prices are high on Friday and Saturday at every hotel in town, including us. If you can come between sunday to tuesday that will cost you cheaper and the viewpoints are almost empty. If you can move your dates, this is the single biggest saving available.
Extra bed and children
The children below five can stay free if they share an existing bed. For above five age, or when a separate bed is needed, an extra bed charge is taken. and varies by room and season. Tell us the ages when you enquire and it goes into the quote so there is no surprise at check-in.
Groups and bulk bookings
If you book many rooms together like for corporate offsites or a large family booking. So hotel quote for the whole group rather than applying the per-room rate. Send the number of rooms, total guests and your dates. See packages

About pricing
Room rates depends on the type of the room, season, and it is a weekday or a weekend, and which meal plan you take. Matheran rates are change a lot of time between a Tuesday in July and a long weekend in December. So that is why the hotel tells the rate according to your dates instead of telling you a fixed price. Send your dates on WhatsApp and you will have the exact figure in minutes.
Most of our rates are quoted on a meal-inclusive plan rather than room-only, which is normal for Matheran because there are limited eating options once you are up the hill. Exactly which meals are included depends on the plan you choose. The plans are explained on this page.
Yes.Matheran are weekend place for Mumbai and Pune, so this is the reason why Friday and Saturday night rates are higher than the rates of the midweek. If your date are flexible, a Sunday to Tuesday stay cost will be less for you and much quieter at the viewpoints.
Children below five generally stay free sharing the existing bedding. Above that age, or when a separate bed is needed, an extra bed charge applies and varies by room category and season. Tell us your children's ages when you enquire and we will include it in the quote.
For multiple rooms, corporate offsites and larger family groups we quote separately rather than applying the published rate per room. Send the number of rooms, guests and dates and we will work out a rate for the whole group.
