Our deluxe room is the most loved room in Matheran for couples and also advisable to book a two night weekend in this category of room. A deluxe room comes with an elegant design double bed, air-conditioning, attached bathroom with both hot and cold water, a television, and tea/coffee maker machine. The things you actually use, without paying for floor space you will spend the whole trip outdoors anyway.
This is significant because there are no vehicles in Matheran as the locale is completely free of motorized transport. As a result, guests hear bird sounds in the hotel room in Matheran and the occasional horseman passing by outside. Guests staying in the deluxe rooms while visiting Matheran for the first time from other hill stations notice the difference on the first morning.

The Deluxe Room is designed for two guests on one double bed. If you are three, the Super Deluxe Room is the better fit because it has the floor space for a proper extra bed.
Some Deluxe Rooms open onto a small sit-out over the garden, but not all of them do. Balcony rooms are limited and allotted on availability, so mention it when you enquire and we will try to block one.
Yes, hot water runs in the attached bathroom through the day. This matters more than you would expect between November and February, when Matheran mornings get genuinely cold.
